Day 55

JANUARY PLAN (TO DAY 78)

BLACKLIST:

  • Daily sitting down without voice/guilt = CANDLE
  • Weekly cheat meal = EIGHT PORTIONS + WIGGLE ROOM (THREE PORTIONS)
    • EX: Black Hoof Restaurant on Day 49
    • Intimacy/sex = “real” kisses; dates on Sunday and Wednesday
    • Weekly fear foods:
      • Higher fat ground meat (90/10)
      • Pizza
      • White rice (sushi)

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES/NOTES:

  • No more than 4 portions worth of drink (2 x 8oz wine)
  • No more than 4 apples at any given meal
  • No more than 2 quantity-based components
  • 8 portions breakfast – 2 portions snack – 6 portions lunch during the school day

TOOLS:

  • Daily positive affirmations through email
  • When arguing, begin with the end in mind (use the reminders “I love her,” “choose love”)
  • My wife reminding me to “look up”
  • Mantras
    • “You deserve downtime”
    • “I gained in sitting” / “I gained in resting”
    • “Living in the moment feels so good”
    • “You don’t have to work harder than the next person in order to be a worthwhile person”
    • “Serenity, courage, wisdom – one day at a time”
    • “No right or wrong there is, just us”
    • “Let go and be here now”
    • TO DO:
      • Stretching with mindful recordings to transition from school
      • Wife’s recording for scheduled breaks during the day (use phone alarm)

      • Make a “happy list” – stress-busters to make me smile (i.e. penguins)

Some of these are repeats and I understand that some will not be accomplished by Day 78, but no one is perfect, not even a perfectionist in recovery!
